The weight of Rahul is 5 kg more than Sachin. The weight of Samir is 12 kg less than double the weight of Sachin If the total weight of all the three is 93 find the Weight of each one of them. Solve the puzzle using the equations.

Let the weight of the Sachin be x kg.
∴ Weight of the Rahul = 5 + x kg.
Also, weight of the Samir = 2x - 12 kg.

Now, sum of there weights = 93 kg.
∴ x + 5 + x + 2x - 12 = 93
⇒ 4x - 7 = 93
⇒ 4x = 100
∴ x = 25 kg.
Hence, the weight of Sachin is 25 kg.
Weight of Rahul = 5 + 25 = 30 kg .
Weight of Samir = 2(25) - 12 = 50 - 12 = 38 kg.

Acc to the question, the weight of Rahul is 5 kg more than Sachin.

Let the weight of Sachin is W kg.

then the weight of Rahul will be (W + 5)kg.

The second condition given is the weight of Samir is 12 kg less than double the weight of Sachin.

Then weight of Samir will be (2W - 12)kg.

The last condition given is the total weight of all the three is 93.

i.e. W + (W + 5) + (2W - 12) = 93kg.

or, 4W = (93 + 7)kg.

or, 4W = 100kg.

or, W = 25kg. [Ans].

therefore,

weight of Rahul = 30kg Sachin = 25kg Samir = 38kg .
