As the Malabar Coast is surrounded by sand dunes, backwaters etc......
It doesn't get space to extend, that's why it is a small coastal area.
Therefore the Western coast does not have much extending area.
As the Gujarat coast is just a Gulf, like a narrow strip between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats, it also doesn't have much space to extend.
And as the Konkan coast is Rocky coast it doesn't have vast plane lands
(Plains).
This was the physical geography of India.
The condition varies from place to place.
Anyway most of the points remain the same, usually do to Lagoons Dark Waters sand dunes Rocky coastal areas, The coastal areas do not extend more as plains.
Hope it helps!
