The white wax which we see on the grapes what is it???

Some fruits - apples, plums, grapes, blueberries to name a few, when reaching maturity may have a visable dusty-white waxy coating that gives them a glaucous appearance. This is an epicuticular wax coating (actually wax crystals) and is known as "wax bloom".
