The whole surface of rectangular block is 1300 square cm. Find it's volume if their dimensions are in the ration 4:3:2.

Let,
length = 4x cm
breadth = 3x cm
height = 2x cm


Total surface area of rectangular block (cuboid)
=> 2( lb+bh+hl ) = 1300

=> 2 ( 4x*3x + 3x*2x + 2x*4x ) = 1300

=> 2 ( 26x² ) = 1300

=> 26x² = 1300/2

=> 26x² = 650

=> x² = 650/26

=> x² = 25

=> x = √25

=> x = 5

Value of x = 5

Now,
length = 4x = 4*5 = 20cm
breadth = 3x = 3*5 = 15cm
height = 2x = 2*5 = 10cm

The dimensions of the block are 20cm, 15cm and 10cm.

Volume of (cuboid) block = l*b*h
= 20*15*10
= 3000

Hence, the volume of the block = 3000cm cube.
