$⇒x(x+5)=84$

$⇒x^{2}+5x=84$

$⇒x^{2}+5x-84=0 [In the form of a^{2}+bx-c=0]$

$⇒x^{2}+12x-7x-84=0$

$⇒x(x+12)-7(x+12)=0$

$⇒(x+12)(x-7)=0$

$x+12=0$

$x-7=0$

$x=-12 \ and \ 7$

Then,

The breadth won't be negative

So, x=7, x+5=12

Therefore,

Length of the rectangle = 12m
