Answer:

The area of the track is 160.14 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the trach is 3 m wide and the radius of the outer circle is 10 m.

Then the radius of the inner circle is

= (10 - 3) m = 7 m

The area of the outer circle is

= π * 10² m²

= 100π m²

and the area of the inner circle is

= π * 7² m²

= 49π m²

Therefore the area of the track

= area of the outer circle - area of the inner circle

= (100π - 49π) m²

= 51π m²

= 160.14 m²

Answer :-

  • Area of the track is 100.48m²

Question says that,

  • A circle is a surrounded by a track of width 2 metres. The radius of the outer circle is 6 metres.

Find the area of the track,

★ We know that ★

Area of the track :

Step 1 : Find the area of the inner circle.

Area of a circle = πr²

Here,

The radius of the inner circle will be,

→ 6m - 4m = 2m

So,

The area is

→ π • 2²

→ 4π

Step 2 : Find the area of the outer circle.

Where,

  • The radius is 6m

So,

The area is

→ π • 6²

→ 36π

Step 3 : Find the area of the track.

Area of the track :

→ 36π - 4π

→ 32π

  • Tracking 'π' as 3.14

→ 36 • 3.14

→ 100.48m²
