Let the Length of the rectangle is x cm

so Breadth is = (2x - 7) cm

Area of the rectangle = 30 sq. cm
As we know the formula
Area = L x B
x \times (2x - 7) = 30 \\ 2x {}^{2}  - 7x - 30 = 0 \\ 2x {}^{2}  - 12x  + 5x - 30 = 0 \\ 2x(x - 6) + 5(x - 6) = 0 \\ (x - 6)(2x + 5) = 0 \\ x = 6 \: and \:  \frac{ - 5}{2}  \\ as \: length \: is \: not \: negative \: so \\ x = 6
Length = 6 cm

Breadth = (2x 6 - 7).
= (12 - 7)
= 5 cm
