let length =l and breadth/width=b and perimeter =p

therefore, b=3l/4

2(l+b)=P

2(l+3l/4)=28

2{(4l+3l)}/4=28

2×7l=28×4

l=(28×4)/(7×2)

l=8

so, since l=8 b=(3×8)÷4=6
