Answer :-

  • Length of Rectangle = 54 m.
  • Breadth of Rectangle = 36 m.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • The width of a rectangle is two third its length.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle is 180 metres.

To Find :

  • Dimensions of Rectangle.

Solution :

Let the Length be x.

So, Breadth will be 2x/3.

We know that,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b).

So, Substitute the values.

⇒ 2(x + 2x/3) = 180 m.

⇒ 2(3x + 2x/3) = 180 m.

⇒ 2(5x/3) = 180 m.

⇒ 10x/3 = 180 m.

⇒ 10x = 180 × 3.

⇒ 10x = 540.

⇒ x = 540/10.

x = 54.

Therefore,

  • Length of Rectangle = x = 54 m.
  • Breadth of Rectangle = 2x/3 = 36 m.
