Solution -

Let,

the length(l) of the rectangle be x

Then,

the width (b) of the rectangle will be 2/3 x

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

By putting the values we will get -

$180 = 2(x + \frac{2}{3} x)$

$180 = 2x + \frac{4}{3} x$

$180 = \frac{6x + 4x}{3}$

$180 = \frac{10x}{3}$

$10x = 180 \times 3$

$x = \frac{180 \times 3}{10}$

$x = 54$

Hence the length is 54 m

$the \: breadth = \frac{2}{3} \times 54 = 34m$
