Answer:

Let the length of the rectangle be x

Width of the rectangle = 2/3x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(x+2/3x) = 180

=> 2( 5/3x) = 180

=> 5/3x = 180/2 = 90

=> x = 90×3/5

=> x = 54

Therefore the length of rectangle = 54m

Width of rectangle = 2/3 × 54 = 36m

let \: the \: length \: be: n \: metres \\ so \: width:  \frac{2}{3}n \: metres \\  \\ (as \: we \: know):  \\  \\ perimeter \: of \: a \: rectangle \:  =  \\ 2(l + b) \: units \\  \\ so \: now: \\2 (n +  \frac{2}{3}n) = 180 \\ 2n +  \frac{4}{3}n \:  \:  \:  \:  = 180 \\  \frac{6n + 4n}{3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 180 \\ 10n \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 180 \times 3 \\ n \:  \:  \ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{180 \times 3}{10}= 54m \\  \\ now \: length = 54m \: \\ and \: width \: \:   = 54 \times  \frac{2}{3} = 36m \\  \\  \\  \\  \\ hope \: it \: helps \: you...
