Given,

The width of cuboid is 3cm less than its length and height is 5 cm less than its breadth.

To find,

The volume of the cuboid.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Let, the length of the cuboid = x cm

Width of the cuboid = (x-3) cm

Height of the cuboid = (x-3-5) = (x-8) cm

Volume of the cuboid

= Length × Width × Height

= x × (x-3) × (x-8)

= x × (x²-3x-8x+24)

= x × (x²-11x+24)

= x³-11x²+24x cm³

Hence, the volume of the cuboid is (-11x²+24x) cm³ where x is assumed as the length of the cuboid.
