The width of neha's garden is 2/3 of its length . If its perimeter is 40 meters, what is its dimensions?

Let
Length = x

Width = 2/3 * x

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

Given perimeter = 40

So,
40 = 2 ( x + 2/3 * x )

40 = 2 ( 3× + 2× / 3 )
40 × 3 = 2 ( 2× + 3× )

40 x 3 = 4× + 6×

120 =10 x


putting x =12 in 2/3x

2/3×12 = 8

length 12 width 8
