• Let the length be x
• Width = 2x/3
• Perimeter given = 40 m

Perimeter = 2 (l+b) =40

l+b =20

x + 2x/3 = 20

• Taking LCM

5x/3 = 20

5x = 20 * 3

x = 20 * 3 / 5

= 12

Length = x = 12

Width= 2x/ 3 = 8
