Define x:

Let the length be x

The width =3x

Solve x:

Given that the perimeter = 40 m

2(x + 3x )= 40

8x = 40

x = 5 cm

Find the dimension:

Length = x = 5 cm

Width = 3x = 3(5) = 15 cm

Answer: The dimension is 5 m by 15 m

 Here\: is\: your\: answer\: buddy\: ,

Let, length = X

\underline{\bftext{Given}}

Width of the garden = 3X
Perimeter = 40 mt.

Now,

2(X+3X) = 40
=> 2(4X) = 40
=> 8X = 40
=> X = 5.

So the Length is 5 mt and the breadth is 3×5 = 15 mt.

 Hope\: this\: helps\: you\: .
