the wind blows at a speed of is 16m/s towards the turbine blades. in one second, a volume of 24,000m³ of air passes through the circular area swept out by the blades. The density of air is 1.3kg/m³.
1. what is the mass of air that passes through the circular area swept out by the blades in 1.0 seconds.
2. the kinetic energy of the mass of air passes through the area swept out by the blades.

Given,
Volume of air flowing through the area in one second = 24000 m³
and, density = 1.3 kg/m³
Then mass of air flowing in one second
= volume in one second x density
M = 24000 x 1.3 = 83200 kg
And kinetic energy = 1/2 x mv²
K = 1/2 x 83200 x 16² = 10649600 J
