In our society mens are ranked higher than womens. In many countries still now women don't have the right to vote. The women getting the right to vote was a big leap in past. They declared that men have only right to vote and women's don't have that right because they declared that women are only meant to do the household activities and not to vote during election.

But these where not only the past situation, in countries till now it is going on.

But we i. e. India are so lucky that we don't have such rules.
