Work done in Potential U =  = k(x + y)

Solution:

Using the formula for the field -

F = u/xi - u/xj

U = K ( x + y )

Therefore,  

Substituting the values -

F = - Ki - Kj

r = ( 2i + 3j ) - ( i + j)

= i + 2j

Thus,

W = F.r  

= - K - 2K

= - 3K

Answer: Thus, the work done in potential is -3K.
