Work done = Change in Kinetic energy
= 0.5 m (v^2 - u^2)
= 0.5 × 1000 kg × [(40 m/s)^2 - (30 m/s)^2]
= 350 000 Joule
= 350 kilojoules

350 kilojoules of Work is done.
