We feel that we have progressed decades from the dark ages but the real question is Are we still uncivilised?  This is a point about which we can talk for hours on end but still remain without an answer. People say that now we are civilised and educated. Educated we may be but the state of being civilised is yet to be achieved. Being civilised in not only holding a degree or dressing up in the modern way, it is in fact a way of living, a way of treating others, a way of accepting things. Do we qualify for all this? Just scratch the surface and see, you will find that we belong to the old uncivilised, wild cave men status even now.
Today the people do not have the virtue of tolerance towards others. We often see them engaging in brawls over very small matters. Crime rate has increased and the value of human life has gone down drastically. Newspapers are full of inhuman acts against humans, murdering for money, killing of infants, bombings and many more such acts. And we think we live in a civilised world. Undoubtedly, this world is still uncivilised and primitive. We are a far cry from calling ourselves civilised and progressive.

Hope it helps!!
