The world popullation has grown very rapidly ?why?

The total human population of the earth is in fact increasing, but only for the foreseeable future. I read my first AP news article on population decline in 1992, and was surprised because, as a baby boomer, I had been told endlessly that we had to limit having children. Since that time, it has been a hobby of mine to study population trends (demographics) and have read many articles on population decline, which afflicts some countries more drastically than others.
The reality is that populations are in decline in most industrialized countries, and in many rural based countries. How can this be when total world human population is increasing? The simple answer is that the baby boomers exist and are living longer due to medical science and good nutrition. We baby boomers are a bubble on the demographic chart. When we are gone, the decline in world population will be obvious to everyone who takes the time to look. Not convinced? Good for you! But do take the time to look around and count the number of children born to couples that you know. Many of those couples will have no children, or one, or maybe two. Only a few will have several children. To maintain a population takes 2.1 children per couple. The only reason that the U.S. is not in population decline at this time is because of the number of immigrants. Our government is allowing foreigners to immigrate here to make up for the children that our citizens are not having.
Still not convinced? Good for you! Google the phrase “population decline in Japan,” and then “population decline in Italy,” and then “population decline in Russia,” and then “population decline in Europe,” and finally “shrinking population in Singapore.” I could go on, but after reading the articles, you will get the picture of what is really happening worldwide. Japan is on the extreme end because it allows no immigration, while at the same time encourages women to stay in the work force. The current situation in Japan is that 45% of women of child bearing age are not only not having children, but view marriage as a bad choice. Among Japanese men, 25% have no interest in marriage. The Japanese population is stable at this time, but will soon enter into what is termed a “demographic death spiral,” with the year already having been calculated when the last Japanese citizen will die.
Why is this happening? The reason is simple. Children are no longer an asset, but have become a liability to one’s career and free time, and conception can be so easily prevented. Women now have a very real choice of whether to have children, or not.
So, what is the problem? Besides the very real possibility of intentional species extinction, all socialist government programs are built upon some sort of Ponzi scheme. With an ever-decreasing pool of young workers to tax to fund welfare, retirement and medical programs, the programs become insolvent. Since politicians are well aware of this problem, they are turning a blind eye to illegal immigration, and are in some countries allowing the immigration of people groups who will likely conflict with its natural born citizen group.
Answer:
The world population has grown very rapidly because the death rate has gone down as a result of the growth of food supplies and the improvement of medical facilities. Also, unlike the death rate, the birth rate has remained quite high. ... Thus, the birth and death rates affect the balance of population.
