Getting inspired by the summer Olympics marathon of 1896, the Boston marathon started in the year 1897, and it is considered as the world’s oldest annual race.
It has never had a break and is held on the Patriot’s day of the United States of America, and the event takes place on the third Monday of the month of April.
It starts from Hopkinton and ends in Copley Square in Boston
