The xylem in plants are responsible for transport of water and here the plants have tow systems for the transportation of substance and it has two various type of the transport tissues.

Hence the Xylem transport water and solutes from the roots to the leaves at the time of the phloem transports from the leaves to the rest of the other type of the plants.
