hey friend here is your answer^^

The farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh made series of changes in their cultivation to bring about drastic increase in the levels of production of wheat and rice in their farms under the Green Revolution. Some of the measures they used are as follows:

· Use of HYV seeds: Farmers used the High Yielding Variety of seeds, often imported from other countries to increase their productions levels. The use of such seeds brought about great increase in the same.
· Use of modern irrigation methods: The Green Revolution brought in the employment of tube wells and other modern irrigation methods for irrigating farms. This brought about lesser dependence on rains for the crops, and bettered the productions levels.
· Use of herbicides, pesticides, synthetic nitrogen fertilisers, and weedicides: With such resources, the farmers were not only able to curb the losses in their crops because of weeds and pests, but uses of high-grade fertilisers also enhanced production.
· Farm credits: The system of farm credits also ensured that the farmers were able to use all the above with the help of loans extended to them at easy rates by the banks and other government institutions.
