c) Zero of a linear polynomial px +q is q/p

The reason being that,

The standard form of a quadratic polynomial = ax^2 + bx + c

Here it is, px + q. Hence it will be of the form, bx + c.

Here, b = p and c = q

Then, we know that zeroes of a quadratic polynomial = alpha and beta.

Also,

alpha + beta = (-b) / a = p/a

alpha × beta = c/a = q/a

Then,

Adding both we get,

Zero = q/p
