Answer:

Zero = 1 , or factor = ( x -1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Provided that polynomial

= 6x³ - 4x - 2

Now as we know that , the value of x for which the polynomial is equal to zero is it's zero ,

Also as it is a polynomial of degree 3 , so we have to find a zero by hit and trial method.

Now put x = 1 in the polynomial

= 6(1)³ - 4(1) - 2

= 6 - 4 - 2

= 0

so x = 1 is zero or (x -1) is a factor of this polynomial

Now we are gonna apply long division method in order to find other zeros

(6x³ - 4x - 2) ÷ (x - 1)

= 6x² + 6x + 2

Now as 6x² + 6x + 2 will give imaginary roots , hence only 1 is it's answer.
