to find zero of the polynomial do
p(x)=0

x2-5x+6=0

x2-3x-2x+6=0

x(x-3)-2(x-3)=0

(x-3)(x-2)=0

x-3=0 or x-2=0

x=3 or x=2

zeroes of the polynomial p(x) are 3 and 2

x2-5x+6=0
x2-2x-3x+6=0
x(x-2)-3(x-2)=0
(x-2)(x-3)=0
Either x-2=0
x=2
or x-3=0
x=3
