use quadratic formula ,
a=1, b=3,c=-10
D=b²-4ac=9+40=49
x=(-b±√D)/2a
x=(-3±√49)/2
x=(-3±7)/2
x=(-3+7)/2 and x=(-3-7)/2
x=2 and x=-5

x² + 3x - 10 = 0
x² - 2x + 5x - 10 = 0
x(x-2) + 5(x-2) = 0
(x-2)(x+5) = 0

→ x-2 = 0 ; x = 2
→ x+5 = 0 ; x = -5

Therefore, 2 and -5 are zeroes of the polynomial
