Given :-

⇒ f(x) = 3x² - 2x - 5

To Find :-

⇒ Zeroes of the polynomial

Solution :-

By splitting Middle term

⇒ 3x² - 2x - 5 = 0

⇒ 3x² - 5x + 3x - 5 = 0

⇒ x ( 3x - 5 ) + 1 ( 3x - 5 ) = 0

⇒ ( x + 1 ) ( 3x - 5 ) = 0

When x + 1 = 0

x = - 1

When 3x - 5 = 0

⇒ 3x = 5

x = 5/3

Given :

  • 3x² - 2x - 5

to find :

  • The zeroes of a polynomial

solution :

3x² - 2x - 5 = 0

3x² - 5x + 3x - 5 = 0

x(3x - 5) + (3x - 5) = 0

x(3x - 5) + 1(3x - 5) = 0

(x + 1) (3x - 5) = 0

x + 1 = 0

x = - 1

3x - 5 = 0

3x = 5

x = 5/3
