 {x}^{2}  - 2x - 3

 {x}^{2}  - 3x + x - 3

x(x - 3) + 1(x - 3)

(x + 1)(x - 3)

x=-1 & x=3

therefore,The zeroes of the quadratic polynomial are -1 & 3

Hope it helps you..
