Answer:

roots are -1, 4 and 3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

2x^3 - 9x^2 + x +12 =0

(x + 1)(2x^2 - 11x +12)=0

either ( x + 1)=0 -->> x = -1 .........(i)

or 2x^2 - 11x + 12 =0

2x^2 - 8x -3x + 12 =0

2x( x - 4) -3( x - 4) = 0

(x - 4)(2x - 3) = 0

now again either (x - 4)=0

x = 4 .........(ii)

or (2x - 3) = 0

x = 3/2 .......(iii)

from equation (i), (ii), (iii)

x = -1, 4 and 3/2.

Hope it helps........
