3 {x}^{2}  - 1 = 0

 {( \sqrt{3}x) }^{2}  -  {(1)}^{2}  = 0

( \sqrt{3} x - 1)( \sqrt{3} x + 1) = 0

( \sqrt{3} x - 1) = 0

( \sqrt{3} x + 1) = 0

 \sqrt{3} x = 1

 \sqrt{3} x =  - 1

x =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

x =  \frac{ - 1}{ \sqrt{3} }
