Question :-

 {x}^{2}  + x - 6 = 0

What to find = zeroes of polynomial?

Solution :-

Factorise by splitting middle term

x {}^{2}  + x - 6 = 0 \\  \\ x {}^{2}  - 3x + 2x - 6 = 0 \\  \\ x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3) = 0 \\  \\ (x - 3)(x + 2) = 0

Now split it into possible cases

(x - 3) = 0 \\  \\ (x + 2) = 0

Hence,

x_1 = (3) \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  ans \\ x_2 = ( - 2)
