Reason Na+ radius is smaller than neutral Na:-
Na+ has a charge of +1 which means Na lost 1 electron. This means the number of electrons in Na+ is 11 – 1 = 10 electrons. This means Na+ will have the smallest radius since it has the least number of electrons.
So due to the increased nuclear charge, as compared to the neutral Na atom, the stable configuration of Na atom gets disturbed and the electrons are pulled towards the nucleus.
