By distance formula

 \sqrt{}( x {}^{2}  - y {}^{2} ) + (x { }^{2}  - y {}^{2} )

Now we put values,

√(cos²∅+ sin²∅) + (sin²∅ + Cos²∅)

=√ (1)² + (1)²

= √1 + 1

= √2
