Answer:

Given data in ascending order: 45,47, 50, 52, x, JC+2, 60, 62, 63, 74. ∴ Number of observations (n) = 10 (i.e., even) ∴ Median is the average of middle two observations Here, the 5th and 6th numbers are in the middle position. ∴ 106 = 2x + 2 ∴ 106 – 2 = 2x ∴ 104 = 2x ∴ x = 52 ∴ The given data becomes: 45, 47, 50, 52, 52, 54, 60, 62, 63, 74.Read more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/848685/there-are-10-observations-arranged-in-ascending-order-as-given-below-45-47-50-52-jc-jc-60-62-63

Step-by-step explanation:

Median= 53

53= [(n/2)th+ (n/2+ 1)th]/ 2

53= [ (10/2)th +(10/2+1)th]/2

53=[ (5)th + (6)th]/2

53= [x+(x+2)]/2

53=(2x+2)/2

53=x+1

x= 53-1 = 52

Mean= 55.9

and we know mode = 3 median -2 mean

= 3×53-2×55.9 mean

= 159-111.8

=47.2

But according to the data given above, the mode can be 52 as it repeats atleast one time
