• Breadth of the plot = 13.8

• Cost of fencing it at the rate of 16.50 per metre = Rs.920.7

Solution :-

Area of rectangular field is = 290 m²

length of rectangular field (l) = 21m

Breadth (b) = ?

Area = l × b

$\large \implies \tt290 = 21 \times b$

$\large \implies \tt b = \dfrac{ \cancel{290}}{ \cancel{21} } = 13.8m$

Cost of fencing is Rs.16.50 per metre

Perimeter of field

$\\ \large\implies \tt2(l + b) = 2( 21+ 13.8) = 55.8m$

Cost of fencing = 55.8 × 16.50 = Rs. 920.7
