The Poem Small Pain in My Chest by Michael Mack makes one reflect on the futility of war.  It also makes us reflect on the victims of war which not only include the innocent and vulnerable citizens but also vulnerable soldiers on both sides of a a war situation..
Soldiers with families and loved ones who would otherwise have led a long & healthy life die in war..

The small pain in my chest has various theme. The first theme is agony of soldiers In the battlefield which includes physical agony and emotional agony and psychological agony
there is psychological agony because of the sights the soilders see in the war , physical agony because that have use their rifle , shoot bombs they will feel a lot of pain
the families of soilders will feel very sad as they will lose their son or brother etc in the war
