Then, -3) = (-3)2 - 9=9-9=0
f(+3) = 32 - 9=9-9=0
..-3 and 3 are zeros of the polynomialx-9
Exercise 3.2
1.
Find the value of the polynomial f(y) = 6y - 3y + 3 at
(i) y=1
(ii) y=-1
(iii) y=0
If p(x) = x2-2–2x+1, find p(22).
Find the zeros of the polynomial in each of the following:
(1) p(x) = x-3 (11) p(x) = 2x+5 (iii) gly)

1. the polynomial

f(y)=6y-3y+3

=>f(y)=3y+3

(i) when y=1

f(1)=(3×1)+3

=6

(ii) when y= -1

f(-1)=3×(-1)+3

=0

(iii) when y=0

f(0)=3×0+3

=3

2.p(x)=x^2-2-2x+1

=>p(22)=22^2-2-(2×22)+1

= 484-2-44+1

= 439
