Thenmalar appeared for competitive exam which has negative scoring of 1 mark
for each incorrect answer. In paper I she answered 25 questions incorrectly and in
paper II, 13 questions incorrectly. Find the total reduction of marks.​

Reduction of mark for one incorrect answer =1

Number of questions answered incorrectly in paper 1= 25

Number of questions answered incorrectly in paper 2= 13

Total number of incorrect answers= 25 +13= 38

Therefore total reduction of marks= 38×1= 38
