Human security makes no distinction between different kinds of human rights – civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights thereby addressing violations and threats in a multidimensional and comprehensive way

=> There are essentially seven issues associated human security. These are economic security, food security, health security environmental security, personal security, community security, and political security.

=> old and new security threats – from chronic and persistent poverty to ethnic violence, human trafficking, climate change, health pandemics, international terrorism, and sudden economic and financial downturns.

=> Human security is concerned with safeguarding and expanding people's vital freedoms. It requires both protecting people from critical and pervasive threats and empowering people to take charge of their own lives. States have the fundamental responsibility of providing security.

=> The UNDP considered seven main dimensions of human security through sustain- able human development: economic, food, health, environmental, personal, community and political security.
