Question:-

There are 10^3 circular patterns on a quilt. How many patterns will 10^2 such quilts have?

Solution:-

If per quilt has 10³ circular pattern.

we've to find the amount of patterns 10² quilts

for that we've to multiply the number of quilt × circular patterns per quilt

that is

10³×10²

we know

 {a}^{m}  \times  {a}^{n}  =  {a}^{m + n}

that is

 {10}^{3}  \times   {10}^{2}  =  {10}^{5}

therefore 10⁵ circular patterns will be there in 10² quilts.
