thoroughly. A card is drawn at random from the box.

Find the probability that the number on the card is:

i. An odd number

ii. Divisible by 2 and 3 both

iii. A number less than 46​

  • n = 50

probability = 50/100 = 1/2

case 2 :

  • divide by 2 = 2,4,6,...,100 n=50
  • divide by 3 = 3,6,9..,99 n=33
  • divide by 3 and 2 (6) = 6,12,18,...96 n=16
  • 50+33-16 = 67

probability = 67/100 = 0.67

case 3 :

  • less than 46 so 1,2,3,45
  • n = 45

probablity = 45/100 = 9/20
