Total no. of guests = 100

No. of days food will last = 20 days

So, no. of days food will last for 1 guest

= 20×100

= 2000 days

Now, no. of increased guests

= 100+25

= 125 guests

So, now the food will last for 2000/125 = 16 days.

Hence, the food will last for 16 days.

Answer:

16 days the food will last if 25 more joined the resort.

Step-by-step explanation:

( 100 guests) × (20days) =  Total food eaten.—(1)

Now,

There are 100+25 guests.

So,

(125 guests )× (x days) = Total food eaten.—(2)

From (1 ) and (2)

(125 guests) × (x days) = ( 100 guests) × (20days)

x days = \frac{ {( 100 guests) X  ( 20days)}  }{125 students} \frac{4 X 20 }{5}

x days = (4×20)/5

           = 4×4= 16.

Hence total days = 16.
