there are 1000 sealed envelope in the box ,10 of them contain cash price of rupees 100 each, 100 of them contain cash price of rupees 50 each and 200 of them contains cash price of rupees 10 and rest do not contain any cash prize .if they are well shuffled and an envelope is picked up out what is the probability that it contains no cash prize

In 1000 sealed envelopes =
● 10 have cash price of 100 rs each
● 100 have cash price of 50 rs each
● 200 have cash price of 10 rs each.

Remaining = 1000-( 10+100+200)
= 1000- 310 = 690

Means, 690 envelops does not have any cash price.

So probability of picking out an envelop of no cash price = 690/1000 = 69/100

If we talk about probability % = (69/100 × 100)%
= 69 % probability
