There are 12 dozen bananas in a basket. 5/24 of them are rotten and 1/3 of them are to be sent back. How many bananas can be used?

= 12x12

=144

no.of rotten bananas

= 5/24x144

= 5x6

= 30 bananas

no.of bananas to be sent back

= 1/3x144

=48 bananas

no. of bananas that can be used are

=144-(30+48)

=144-78

=66 bananas
