there are 12 passengers on the lower deck of a double decker bus in a upper deck. If 24 passengers from lower deck climbs upstairs .The upper deck will have 3 times as many passengers as the lower deck . how many passengers are on each deck of the bus

5 have refused for upper deck

∴ they will be in lower deck  8 will be in upper deck

Remaining persons =7

Seat remaining in upper deck =5

No. of ways =7C5

And person remaining =2 and seats are 2∴ no. of ways =2C2

∴ Total ways =7C5×2C2

                      =21

Hence the answer is 21.
