There are 18 Caps in a packet if 1/3 of the whole caps are blue in colour, how many caps are red in colour?

1/3 coloured red and 3/5 are coloured blue.

we have to find not coloured hat.

so here is how we can do it.

1/3 + 3/5 we have to make denominators same.

(1×5/3×5)+(3×3+5×3)

= 5/15 + 9/15

here we found that

5 hats are coloured red

and 9 hats are coloured blue.

5/1/+9/15 = 14/15

means 14 parts of 15 are coloured.

means 1 part is remaining to colour.
