Let the smaller number be X.
Then the larger number will be X+5
ATQ,
5X=4(X+5)
5X=4X+20
5X-4X=20
X=20
THEREFORE THE SMALLEST NUMBER IS 20 AND
THE LARGEST NUMBER IS 25
Then the larger number will be X+5
ATQ,
5X=4(X+5)
5X=4X+20
5X-4X=20
X=20
THEREFORE THE SMALLEST NUMBER IS 20 AND
THE LARGEST NUMBER IS 25

Let the smaller number be A and larger number be B.
Given:
5 + A = B......................(1)
5A = 4B.........................(2)
Solution:
Substitute (1) in (2)
5A = 4(5 + A)
5A = 20 + 4A
5A - 4A = 20
A = 20
Substitute A in (1)
B = 5 + 20
B = 25
Hence the larger number is 25 and smaller number is 20.
Given:
5 + A = B......................(1)
5A = 4B.........................(2)
Solution:
Substitute (1) in (2)
5A = 4(5 + A)
5A = 20 + 4A
5A - 4A = 20
A = 20
Substitute A in (1)
B = 5 + 20
B = 25
Hence the larger number is 25 and smaller number is 20.
