Answer:

No of red balls are 2.

The probability of getting a red ball is no of favorable outcomes/total outcomes.

Here

Total out comes are=2+3+5=10

So

Probability getting a ball is = 2/10=1/5

Answer:

7/10

Step-by-step explanation:

                    Method 1

We want non-blue balls, it means we want red and black balls.

 ∴ P = (no. of red & black balls)/total balls

⇒ P = (2 + 5)/(2 + 3 + 5)

       = 7/10

Hence the probability of getting a non-blue ball is 7/10.

                    Method 2

We want the probability of getting a non-blue ball,  if probability of getting a ball is P(A), then probability of not getting a blue ball is 1 - P(A).

        P(A) = 3/10

Probability of getting a non-blue ball = 1 - P(A)

                  = 1 - 3/10

                   = 7/10
